Children Lunch Box Idea 12 - Quick Capsicum Chapati Wrap



These Chapati wraps are easy and quick lunch Box item when chapati dough is in your hands. In about 10 mins you can make these wraps for lunch box or even for breakfast. It is yet stomach filling when paired with Curd rice. For your convenience make dough the before night and keep in fridge, so that you can make chapatis quickly in the morning.

A protein rich paratha dish for children and elders too. For your convenience I suggest chapati dough and sprouted green gram paste can be done the before day and keep refrigerated. The sprouts paste can be kept for 2 to 3 days in fridge. Spicy Tomato pickle can also be kept in fridge for about 1 week. You may pair Raita for this paratha as the paratha already having masala's in it. You may adjust the spices according to your kids need.

I think this lunch box item might be every kids favourite and healthy too. Kids love eating this noodle type chapati very much as it is having mild masala in it(alter the spices according to your kids needs). You can pair it with any Raita of your choice or simply with any fresh friuts. Vyshu like to have it with Apples. Moreover this is a quick lunch box item for every Mom who is struggling to send their kids in time.

Chapati with a side dish of flavoured tomato chutney is nice lunchbox item. Moreover it is an easy and quick side dish for chapati or Roti since there is no need of any veggies to be cooked. If you are not satisfied with the coconut in the chutney, you can omit adding coconut and send for lunchbox.

Chapati with Mushroom curry is a nice combination for lunch. You can even send a small quantity of curd rice along with this chapati. You can send banana or a cup of curd rice along with chapatis.

Notes:

You can make the mushroom curry paste the before night and keep refrigerated. By the Morning your only work is cleaning and cutting the mushroom and doing the curry. Its an easy n quick idea for your convenience.

To feed brinjal for children, I think this will be a best idea which is mixed with rice and spices. You can alter the spices and tamarind juice according to your taste.  Colour Vadams are a good accompaniment for this rice. For making the Vanngi Bath quickly in the Morning Make Vaangi Bath powder and refrigerate Tamarind juice the before night and you can make the rice easily in the Morning.

This is a quick one pot meal rice dish which can be made within 20 mins for Lunch Box. Its also quite interesting that I have added soya chunks which is Favourite for people. Its healthier dish with the combination of rice and Dal along with protein rich soya chunks. This rice goes well with the side dish of Coriander Chutney, Mint Chutney or Mixed Green Chutney or simply with some Pickle of your choice.

Quick Capsicum Chapati Wrap Recipe



Chapati Wraps are an easy to do breakfast dish which can be done quickly. The special thing of this Capsicum Chapati Wrap is, it involves only simple Ingredients done only with sauces and no more masala items or powders required. It is really done quickly in the morning or to send as lunch box item for children. It tastes great.

Ingredients:
  1. Chapati Dough 
  2. Big Onion - 1 large
  3. Capsicum - 1 medium size
  4. Soy Sauce - 1/2 tsp
  5. Green Chilli Sauce - 2 tsp
  6. Red Chilli Sauce - 2 tsp
  7. Tomato Sauce - 1 tbsp
  8. Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
  9. Salt as per taste
  10. Olive Oil - 1 tbsp
Cooking Method:
  • Cut the Onion and Capsicum Lengthwise. The quantity of Onion should be large compared to Capsicum.
  • Add oil in a frying pan followed by onions saute it till becomes slightly brown.
  • Then add Capsicum and saute till it becomes soft.
  • Add Soy sauce, green and red chilli sauce followed by pepper powder and salt.
  • Saute till all the sauces mixes well with onion and capsicum. Switch off the flame.

Now the Stuffing is ready to make wraps. Make Chapatis and keep ready.
Keep the stuffing in chapati. Add Tomato sauce over it and make wraps as shown in below pics.
