It is a quick Sweet Recipe that can be done by anybody within minutes if you have bread in your hands. Let us see the directions to cook.
Ingredients:
- Bread Slices - 6
- Sugar - 6 tbsp
- Fennel seeds - 2 tsp
- Fennel Powder - 1 tsp
- Cardamom - 2 nos
- Saffron / Kesar - a pinch
- Water - 2 glass
- Oil for frying
- Almonds and Pistachios for Garnishing
Cooking Method:
Make the bread slices round in shape as shown in the below pic.

Take a heavy bottomed pan add water, sugar and let it boil till sugar dissolves in water. Add fennel cardamom, fennel powder, saffron to it. After adding these let it boil for about 5 to 10 mins in medium flame till it attains thin sugar syrup. (adjust sugar content according to your taste)
- Meanwhile fry the circular shaped bread slices in Oil in a medium flame. (It will get burnt soon so please be careful).
- Fry all the slices and keep it aside.
- Now the sugar syrup is ready. Switch off the flame.
- Drop the fried bread slices in the sugar syrup and immediately pick from the syrup and keep it in a separate plate.
- Likewise do all the slices.
- If u need Crispy bread slices skip the step 4. Just arrange the fried bread slices in a serving plate and pour slowly the sugar syrup on the slices till the whole slices covered by the syrup.
- The fried bread slices absorbs quickly all the sugar syrup, so pour more syrup on it.
- Garnish with Almond and pistachio slices and serve hot Immediately.
