Fresh Mint Milk


This Beverage is my Akka's recipe. Once we attended a B'day party in her home, after dinner is over finally she served this Mint Milk. She explained that this beverage is for digestion after a heavy dinner. Everyone greatly enjoyed her delicious feast.

Ingredients:
  • Milk - 2 and 1/2 tumblers
  • Fresh Mint leaves - 10 to 15 
  • Dry Ginger - 1 tsp
  • Ginger - small piece
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom Powder - 1/8 tsp
Cooking Method:

I bought a dry ginger and powdered. Dry ginger powder also available in stores. Make the Ingredients ready for the Mint Milk Preparation. Crush the mint leaves and ginger in a mixer and keep it separately.

In a heavy bottomed Milk Pan boil the milk along with sugar and dry ginger powder. Let it boil nicely for about 5 mins.



After 5 mins add the crushed mint leaves and ginger. Allow it to boil for another 5 mins. Now the fresh mint leaves essence has strongly mixed with the milk. Finally add Cardamom powder, stir well and switch off the stove.


Filter this milk mixture through a juice filter and serve Hot. It serves upto two tumblers of milk
